Back in 1977 the Voyager one took a CD (compact disc), all the way into interstellar space.

This CD contained songs to show the diversity of humanity. Voyager one is is humanities man-made object? That is the furthest away from earth. it is in the hope that some intelligence species discovers this and gets an idea of what humanity is made off or at least what humanity can sound like.

But it wasn’t just sounds, but also images of humans species like insects, animals, birds et cetera they were all included, some of them are little strange like the picture below.

The voyager one today is more than 18,000,000,000 km away from earth. So far it hasn’t been discovered and neither has intelligent life.

This prompted the question that I’ve been thinking about if you were to choose humanities most important or most significant contributes or symbols and signs what would they be or who would they be?

All throughout we’ve had remarkable brilliance that could be chosen if you go randomly to New York City or any other Metro capital of the world you will see in Neweir number of talented extremely good looking people who could represent humanity at the Olympics for all the inspiration you need to see what humans are physically capable of doing. But Stephen Hawking didn’t have much body, but he had a brilliant mind that has given us a lot of discovery would he be representative of humanity?

It is difficult to choose a few people and the same time we cannot choose all of humanity, but we must choose what is the essence of humanity to represent us.

And that is the ability to discern and choose what is important to us and exemplify the best of traits that separate us from animals: compassion and belonging.

If humanity would start again on another planet, would we do all the things that we’ve done today if we had known knowledge of what came before Us? Is it cyclical and there are multiverses around us? Are we just born here and we disappear but in that brief moment we have brilliant that pushes humanity forward?

To what end is our purpose? And what future is our path? Who do we choose? And why would it be the ones that we love?
