Presence
If every single action of yours, as well as every decision that you made was well documented in some form, could you technically be replicated?
I don't mean this in just a physical way (cloning). Because that is subject to a lot of ethical considerations.
But this lingering thought has always been there when I read biographies.
Why do we not have another Michael Jackson? What if we could have another Michael Jordan.
Just by knowing all of the things that he does the way that he thought about life intimately. Because genetic evolution hasn't really proven to be possible to replicate greatness like this. Michael Jackson's children never got into music and Michael Jordan's sons did not really play stellar basketball.
It seems like we're catching lightning in a bottle. That event does not happen twice, but I can't help wonder what the greatest minds of our lifetimes would be if they had access to our technology? What would they be able to invent? What would they be able to see? How would life change for the better?
It's a question that I often pondered apart being a young dad, all of the ideas that I have built up and all of the thoughts that have shaped me to be who I am today have to be translated in some form to my child.
This is in the hope that my baby learns what I thought and then chooses what to think going forward. There hasn't been a better medium to do this outside or text before and perhaps video now to technically talk because intimately you do not know what someone is thinking or feeling when they say something.
You understand the words that come out of your mouth, but you don't understand all of the reasoning and The logical assimilation that happened behind their brains. It's why I wrote the post breadcrumbs.
This is why neuralink but also this form of conduction to the brain itself. As far as we know these are all electrical signals that are passed on from the brain to other parts of the body but stored in memory in the form of context. Something lives in your version of you that's uniquely you.
What if that power could be harnessed? What if that power could be specific and what if that genius existed today?
Wouldn't life be completely different? Or have we already stood far behind the shoulder of giants we were inspired by?
What do you think?
